Your year at the college
Your studies include classroom teaching, laboratory practice and supervised clinical postings, which are periods of training on hospital wards. You connect what you learn in class with the procedures you rehearse and the care you observe at PMCH. Keeping up with reading and reviewing ward experiences are part of this work.
- Classrooms: Lectures and demonstrations. You discuss the reasons for nursing procedures and ask about the topics you will use in practice.
- Laboratories: Practice in the nursing laboratories and the virtual reality laboratory. You repeat procedures and simulated situations to prepare for supervised patient care.
- PMCH wards: Supervised postings at Prashant Memorial Charitable Hospital (PMCH).
- Study resources: The library and computer laboratory. Use these resources to review classroom topics and prepare assignments alongside practical training.
- College events: Events pictured in the Gallery.
- NCC: Students can join the NCC through 2 Bihar Medical Unit, Darbhanga. The college has given a cash incentive to cadets who earned the NCC C certificate.
- Community work: Students have taken part in a cleanliness drive, a health camp, a home visit on hand hygiene and a community visit to the primary health centre at Kudhani.
